Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! Between working(as close to fulltime as I can get), three persistent graduate classes, and maintaining a social life that now includes going on dates- I have been a very busy woman. As I type this, I am multitasking with an online course- in a chatroom- and listening to awesome tracks from the 90s. Gods, I miss NSync! Today, so far, I worked at Dunkin Donuts- a five hour shift that dragged!- and tonight I have my History of Books an Printing class- we're going on a campus field trip! I get a reason to see more campus! Seriously, this place is huge.
Unfortunately I don't have any book reviews right now because most of my time is dedicated to homework, writing, and my two jobs. But, I have picked up James Patterson's TOYS and I am pretty impressed 30ish pages in! It's set in 2063 and is a sort of spy/sci-fi thriller. There are the Elites and the Humans, whom eventually go head to head. So, there's that. Movie wise, I'm trying not to fall behind but my local cinema(Cinema 8) doesn't have half of what I want to see. For example, they aren't getting Seven Psychopaths. But, they do have ARGO- which you should go see!- which was really well done and very refreshing as I knew none of the main actors(other than Ben Afleck). I intend to see Cloud Atlas & Skyfall this week. Two separate nights, one of which my school offers a lovely student discount on Wednesdays. So, when I see those, I will let you know.
In other news, I have been keeping up with HIMYM and am still- or years- quite impressed. But! A newcomer has come along to re-furnish my Monday comedy block! (Which use to consist of HIMTY, The Big Bang Theory, and 2 1/2 Men- when it was good) Now, it consists of HIMYM, Partners, and Castle. As always- Nathan Fillion is always the answer. I want to point out Partners, written by the peeps who did Will & Grace. It's quirky, has charming men (Brandon Routh), and makes me laugh. Hard. Such a destresser for my week. So give that a try.
For now, that's all I have! Hope to chat again soon!
