Updated from first week of September:
Lately, travel has been on my mind. Ever since watching David Tennant in the Doctor Who S05 interviews, which, if you haven't seen it, is quite funny and actually really cool. For instance, in the Sontarian cloning episode, they had to train the stunt guy in the clone suit to not need his eyes to see! Anyways! He's Scottish(I know right!) and since then I have been realizing how nice it would be to travel during, between, or after the obtainment of my masters. In that disc, David went to Pompeii, Whales, and a bunch of other set locations- as does Matt Smith. I have wanted to go back to London for a while- it's been almost six years!- but travel, when you don't have time to plan or go, then, well, it doesn't get anywhere. But, since taking on this endeavor to go to Rhode Island, I feel very empowered. And it is starting to seep into my dreams.
A few days ago I caught up to the end of season six in Doctor Who and shortly after watched a few interviews between Craig Ferguson & Karen Gillan, as well as Matt Smith. Then, a few nights ago, I had a dream about Matt Smith. I met him, was very flustered, and we went out to a Scottish pub for beer- as simple as that. Now, I am not entirely sure if I find Matt Smith attractive, not physically anyway, but in personality- very highly so. Well perhaps my subconscious is trying to push him onto me....wait.
So, then last night I had another dream about Scotland. Nothing was recognizable, as I have never been there, but it was gorgeous. At work today I spent my lunch break talking to a woman named Anne-Marie. She grew up there and her college hometown was Edinburgh, Scotland. She told me about the pubs, youth hostels, and an August carnivale of sorts. It was a lovely and vivid conversation that ended with her offer to give me tourist advice if I should end up across the pond. I really want to go. As I think I have mentioned before, Scottish men are my Achilles heel.
Update: Edinburgh might be my topic of focus for a course I am taking this fall. (See Courses, Faires, and Castle- Oh My)
